Get to know all about me – In my free time
I spend a majority of my free time with my daughter, Nova, she’s 7 years old and in first grade. Family is very important to me, therefore, we have lots of family time. We enjoy spending time outdoors, going to parks and hiking, taking camping trips, going on adventures, and trying new things. We spoil ourselves by getting Starbucks, eating out, and going to the movies. I also take time to make sure I take care of myself physically and mentally as well so I can show up at my best. I like to use aromatherapy, light candles and take relaxing baths.

Get to know all about me – A little background
I was born and raised in Berks County, PA. I grew up in the Temple area and went to Muhlenberg HS. After high school, I attend college at East Stroudsburg University. Where like any young adult, I had no idea what the future held for me. I jumped through a few majors, always in the science field, and ended up with a BS in biology and a chemistry minor. I did not want to work in a lab so I intend to go back for further schooling but shortly after I became a mother. It was an incredible experience, I always knew I wanted to be a mom. I took some time to just be a mom and enjoy the time with my daughter.
Eventually I ended up in the service industry for a few years, when I decided it was time to start thinking about my future and a career. I started doing some research and came across doula’s. As soon as I read it, I knew it was the job for me and I couldn’t believe I didn’t figure it out sooner! So I jumped right in and took a doula training course through DONA International, intro to childbirth education class and lactation class (DONA). I am constantly trying to learn more: reading articles, attending webinars, listening to podcasts, and gaining experience.
