What you can expect from me
If you choose my birth doula services you can expect professionalism and good communication. We are in this birth together and I am here to empower and support you in every step. We will discuss your priorities and birth plan; YOU are in charge. Additionally, we will talk about any fears or concerns you may have and work to over come them with evidence based knowledge, resources, comfort measures and strategic labor positions that work for you, and essentially get you prepared for labor and birth.

What NOT to expect from me
As a doula, I do NOT:
- Perform clinical tasks
- Provide medical advice
- Make decisions for you
- Speak to the staff on your behalf
A birth doula is an addition to your birth team! We are not OBs or midwives, you still need a provider to diagnose medical issues, prescribe or recommend medication, perform vaginal checks and check vitals. Further, a doula does not make decisions for you (you are in charge), I will provide you with the information needed to make an informed decision, suggest options, and encourage you to ask question and voice your opinion.
